A programme dedicated to the rape and domestic violence victims ‘Bol Ke lab Azaad Hain Tere’ was organised here on Monday at Samanvay Bhawan. The programme was organised jointly by Action Aid and Ministry of Public Health and Family Welfare.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was present as the chief guest on the occasion and honored the women with mementos. During the programme, the victims shared their stories about the torture they had gone through. They also shared the brave actions they took to overcome the pain and grief.
While addressing the programme, Aamir Khan said, “It is important to make the women of our society strong and the boys sensible and make them learn to respect women.” He further said, “I believe that a women is the USB of the family and should be respected with heart. I am really touched with the stories and felling contented that these women have overcome their pain.” During the programme, information about One Stop Crisis Centre was also given to the audience present.
