Alleging that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is facing corruption charges, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that a high level probe should be conducted in the mention of Chouhan’s name in the recovery of documents in the raids at Sahara Group by the IT department.

State Convener of AAP Alok Agrawal while speaking with media persons on Friday said that the documents mention that Rs 10 crore cash was provided to Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (CMMP) which was facilitated by Neeraj Vashisth; the transactions were done in the month of September and October 2013, he added.

Agrawal further said that the then Chief Minister of the state was Shivraj Singh Chouhan and he should clarify acceptance of huge amount of money and utilization of money. This is a extremely serious issue and AAP party demands formation of Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the guidance of Supreme Court to investigate the matter.

Notably, on November 22, 2014 raid was conducted in the office of Sahara group and in the documents recovered from office shocking revelations were found. In the entry made on September 29, 2013 it was mentioned that Rs 5 crore cash have been provided to CMMP while in another entry on October 1, 2013 Rs 5 crore cash have been provided to CMMP, he added.

Raising allegations Agrawal pointed that in the month of September and October 2013 Shivraj Singh Chouhan was Chief Minister while Neeraj Vashishth was Deputy Secretary of Housing Facility of Chief Minister. The documents of the Income Tax department have signatures of Deputy Director Ankit Pandey and were found genuine by the forensic experts after request was made by senior lawyer of Supreme Court Ram Jethmalani.
