State level prizes will be given to staff who have done excellent electoral work during the lok Sabha elections 2014 in Madhya Pradesh. On the directives of the Election Commission of India, the CEO Office has directed all Collectors and CEOs to ensure action in this regard. Excellence Prizes will be given away at State level function marking National Voter Day on January 25 at Bhopal.

Twenty-seven prizes will be given away including four each to excellent district election officers and registration/assistant registration officers, 15 for excellent BlOs and four special category prizes. These will be in addition to prizes given away by Election Commission. The selected applicants for National Prizes will not be eligible to apply for these prizes. However, nominations sent earlier by the CEO for National Prizes will be automatically nominated for these prizes. Besides, prizes will also be given away to campus ambassadors, village awareness groups, civil society and media.

A state level committee will be constituted for screening nominations and selecting winners. It will be headed by Additional/Joint Chief Electoral Officer. Representatives nominated by Commissioner Public Relations and General Administration Departments will be members while state level SVEEP Nodal Officer will be its Member-Secretary. District election officers will present their own nomination and nominations of others to the CEO. The CEO Office will send recommendation about nominations to Election Commission before January 15.
