Prize distribution of photo competition were held on the occasion of Jheel Mahotsav here on Friday.
As per jury’s decision, `one lakh first prize will be given to Indore’s Pranshu Dube, two second prizes carrying `50,000 each to Bhopal’s Praveen Dixit and Abrar Khan and 2 third prizes of `25 thousand each to Bhopal’s Devendra Dube and Asit Jain. Consolation prizes of `5,000 each have been announced for Bhopal’s T Kalpana and Indore’s Kailash Mittal. The jury has also recommended putting up an exhibition comprising awarded and some other photographs selected from among 695 entries made by 249 photographers.
The jury comprised Additional Secretary Public Relations lajpat Ahuja, Creative Director Film of
Madhya Pradesh Madhyam Rajendra Jangle and Jabalpur’s senior photographer Basant Mishra. The photo competition was held jointly by Madhya Pradesh Madhyam and Jheel Mahotsav Samiti.
An exhibition comprising awarded and selected photographs of photo competition was held to mark Jheel Mahotsav started at Bharat Bhavan today. Additional Chief Secretary MM Upadhyay inaugurated it by lighting a lamp. Additional Director Public Relations and Additional Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Madhyam Suresh Tiwari and Creative Director Film Rajendra Jangle greeted Upadhyay by presenting bouquets. Exhibition will remain open from 2 to 8 pm during Jheel Mahotsav.
