Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Sanjay Dubey has instructed all the Municipal Commissioners and Chief Municipal Officers to remain in the field from 6 to 9 am to get the Swachchh Sarvekshan-2020 works done expeditiously.
Dubey has said that all garbage collection vehicles should go on the prescribed route on time and the vehicles should also have helpers.
Sanjay Dubey said that the officers will supervise one route every day to check system of garbage collection by the vehicles from door to door. During the round, they will also hold discussions with local residents and public representatives about not throwing garbage in the open and keeping wet and dry garbage separately for the garbage vehicles. In addition, they should seek information from the citizens about water supply, sewage, greenery, roads etc. and get their problems resolved immediately. They will inspect the processing or disposal site once a week and give necessary instructions and guidance to the concerned.
Principal Secretary Dubey has told to ensure continuous monitoring of the night cleaning system in commercial areas. During the round, it should be ensured that all the Safai Mitras start work at the designated site from 7 am. Supervise densely populated areas, commercial areas, areas of religious importance and main squares weekly. Ensure the implementation of norms of ODF plus by inspecting the possible open defecation sites and public toilets in the city.
Dubey has said that all these works are necessary for high ranking of the body as per the norms of Swachh Survekshan -2020. He has said that if the instructions are disregarded, disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned.
