Principal Secretary Public Relations SK Mishra inspected media centres being set up in Simhastha mela area and coverage points at Ramghat at Ujjain on Saturday. He was accompanied by Commissioner Public Relations Anupam Rajan. He took stock of arrangements for coverage by electronic and print media. Additional Secretary Public Relations Anil Mathur, Simhastha Nodal Officer Mangla Prasad Mishra and Additional Director Public Relations Devendra Joshi were also present on the occasion.
The Principal Secretary witnessed the spacious media centre being set up on Kartik Mela ground. He apprised himself of arrangements for press and media persons at centres and directed construction agency to complete the work at the earliest. Mishra inspected coverage points for print and electronic media for coverage of Shahi Snan at Ranoji Ki Chhatri on Ramghat. He also apprised himself of construction of sub-media centres by Public Relations Department in Simhastha Mela area.
Mishra also met print and electronic media persons of Ujjain. He said that print and electronic media has extended maximum cooperation in publicizing Simhastha-2016. Due to it, Ujjain Simhastha has been published all over the world. He said that the media has done good reporting of Simhastha. He also sought suggestions from media representatives.
Commissioner Public Relations Anupam Rajan said that suggestions from media representatives are welcome. Maximum efforts would be made to implement them.
local editors and media persons put forth their suggestions. Ujjain Press Club's President Vishal Singh Handa and Vice President of Publicity and Mass Communication (Media) Sub-Committee Nirukta Bhargava were also present on the occasion.
