Under the Chief Minister Kanyadan and Nikah Yojana preparations have been started for mass marriages in the Gwalior district. These marriages will be conduct at Janpad Panchayat level and in city it will conduct with municipal concern.
Gwalior Collector Sanjay Goyal has instructed the concern officers to do the publicity in villages and in city with the dates of marriages. He has also said that on priority registrations are mandatory for the marriages.
According to the information received form Joint Director of Social Justice department, the mass marriages will be performed on April 22, May 9, June 4 and July 13 under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana.
In the same way in Janpad Panchyat Ghantigaon (Barai) social marriages will be perform on April 10 and 17, May 9 and June 4 and under the Janpad Panchayat Morar April 23, May 9, and June 16, also in Dabra on May 9, June 14, Janpad Panchayat Bhitarwar May 9 and June 16 mass marriages are proposed under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana.
Under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana there is help for weak family girls, divorce and widow ladies to get marry at the mass marriage programme. To avail the facility under this Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana interested families can register in Janpad Panchayat office or concern municipal corporation office.
Under the yojana FDR of Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,000 are deposited in the savings account of girl and Rs 5,000 is also given for household items. The detailed information can be collect from the Social Justice department office at Thatipur.
