Outstanding dues of Rs8 crore have been recovered during recovery drive in Bhind and Morena districts of Chambal division. Besides, 8000 illegal connections have been severed and 3000 new connections given.
The drive was conducted by Central Region Power Distribution Company in cooperation with SAF soldiers. Widespread impact of the drive has been witnessed during last 2 months. SAF soldiers and power company’s officials area undertaking the drive in over 300 villages and towns.
The company has also strengthened its revenue wing for recovery of outstanding dues. The company has warned consumers of Bhind and Morena districts to consume electricity by taking legal connections and pay regular bills to the company. Otherwise, action will be taken against them under Electricity Act 2003.
