The police have provided a different version on the death of the victim and they are trying to shield the MPSEB (Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board) employees, said the locals.

The MPSEB officials had reportedly suggested to the victim to rectify a problem at an electric pole himself, and following the advice the victim climbed a tree and got electrocuted. The protesting locals demand compensation for the bereaved family. local residents claim that the area suffers from electricity problems due to some technical faults in the power supply line.

Frustrated over the negligence of MPSEB employees they have to take assistance of technicians privately. Since the victim was not able to hire the services of a private technician, he himself climbed a tree to mend the problem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
