An MoU to install 700kW Solar Photo voltaic (SPV) power plant was signed today between MP Urja Vikas Nigam limited (UVNl), Bhopal and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior at MPUVNl Headquarter at Bhopal.
Authorised officials of MPUVNl, Bhopal and ABV-IIITM, Gwalior signed the MoU under kind presence Vijendra Singh Sisodiya, Chairman, Manu Shrivastava, Managing Director, MPUVN.
Proposed Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant would be installed at ABVIIITM, Gwalior under RESCO Model, in which Institution would not be making any upfront payment and a developer selected through a competitive bidding process would make a capital investment and would also agreement with ABV-IIITM, Gwalior to sell the power produced by the plant to on discovered tariff over a period of 25 years. Savings in Electricity bills and its financial benefits could be accrued through this model. MPUVN would be facilitating the arrangement Central and State Subsidy for the implementation of SPVPP project. Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant installed under RESCO model would encourage Government and other institutions to utilise their vacant Rooftop for installation of solar power plants under this new scheme.
