City of lakes is all set to host the Bhopal Potters Market 2018. It is an annual event wherein potters from across the globe are invited to put up their brilliant art pieces.
The Bhopal Potters Market is organised by Bhopal potters development welfare society. The exhibition cum sale will begin from Thursday at Gauhar Mahal, the historical shopping hub of the city.
The market this year once more shall bring together the top potters from around the country to come and showcase their craft at the majestic venue of Gauhar Mahal. The market showcases pottery in two separate sections. The first is the exhibition hall, which opens before the market opens to the public. This will be held on Thursday at 5.30 pm and then the market will open for Bhopal art lovers on Friday.
The ceramic artists Rachna Parasher ,Kristine Michael and Dipalee Daroz are the prominent names who will be present at the exhibition. The market will showcase the work of fifty potters, who come from all over India. The art lovers will also have an opportunity to look closer to their work and also interact with them. Besides, demonstrations by local potters at the market will also be a highlight at the potters market.
Clay has somehow always attracted the art lovers, from handicraft to ceramics, sculpture to simple tools used in everyday life. Set in the rustic backdrop of Gauhar Mahal, it also gives an immense pleasure to the spectators to look at the earthen pots.
