Portraits of woman, of her diverse roles

All the pure shades of a woman were wonderfully depicted through paintings by a noted artist of the city, Moinuddin Siddiqui. The two-day exhibition Replica 2 put up by Siddiqui at Swaraj Vithika (Swaraj Art Gallery) concluded with a lot of fervor here on Sunday. The exhibition was organised by Aadakar Organisation of drama and culture, Bhopal.

In Replica 2, Moinuddin Siddiqui using his creative skills worked on the life of women and showcased her different roles of women. While talking to The Pioneer, Moinuddin Siddiqui says, “I believe that a woman plays different roles in her life. My perception about women is different and will never change. I feel that the life of the woman is full of colours where she is a daughter, she becomes a wife too, a mother, a friend, she is a giver, she is an inspiration too and so on. Even in my life the role of woman has remained an important part.” Elaborating further he said, “Without her shades, life is like a quiet ocean and with her life actually it becomes lively and full of aspirations and inspirations.” He also said, “I love vibrant colours and so one could see vibrant shades of women in each and every painting of mine.”

One could have a look at an Indian bride, a tribal woman, Mira, engrossed in the love of Krishna and one can have a look at the kind-hearted Mother Teresa as well. As many as 22 paintings were on display at the gallery. The spectators were surrounded by a world of shades of the woman as they walked through the gallery.Bringing all his imagination on the canvas, filling shades in them, adorning it with vibrant colours, Moinuddin started to work as a painter only with one working hand.

After being hit by a paralytic attack, most of his body parts stopped working. Even the doctors declared the attack as the most severe one. There were very few chances of recovery and so the specialist at Mumbai advised Moinuddin for physiotherapy and not to give up the artist in him. Filling the colours of his imagination he creates enchanting effects to his paintings which is much appreciated by the art lovers.
