Poor families in Vidisha dist living in hell: Nikhra

Published on:

State Congress on Tuesday alleged that thousand of poor families living in a village of Vidisha district are living in hell. Presently Vidisha parliamentary constituency is represented by leader of opposition in lok Sabha – Sushma Swaraj and was earlier represented by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Rameshwar Nikhra in a statement said that those who were provided pattas of land during the Congress regime are wandering to get possession of that land. The Kuchcha houses of the poor have fallen down in the rainy season forcing them to live under open sky, he added. Nikhra alleged that the ration shops run by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers are not providing full quota of ration to any category of poor. The condition of rice distribution from these ration shops is so worst that the poor are not even getting rice for offerings at god, he added.

He said that on the one hand the names of over 10,000 BPl families from Ganjbasoda Tehsil have been deleted saying that they have got the pattas for land. On the other hand musclemen are forcibly possessing the land that has been allotted to these poor and the administration is not paying any heed to remove the possession of muscleman from poor’s land.
