Polling monitored via CCTV cameras

Published on:

A 22-member team was constituted to provide technical assistance and monitor the functioning of the CCTV cameras installed at sensitive polling stations during the lok Sabha elections in Bhopal constituency on Thursday.

For monitoring and maintaining the proper functioning of these cameras a central monitoring cell was established at the district collector’s office with big  monitoring screens and computers supported by technical experts.

Taking lessons from the mistakes and problems faced in the state assembly, the administration has managed to organize the monitoring of CCTV cameras in a better and efficient manner except for a few glitches.

Around 7 vehicles with technical staff were kept ready to reach and assist on time the polling stations in case of any technical problem.
