Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that the election for sixteenth Parliament of the country is a symbol for the commitment to bring in good governance and development in the country.
Chouhan expressed these views while addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of the Tikamgarh parliamentary constituency. “The dreams of the people of country were shattered after independence due to misrule of the Congress that has deceived the people through slogans and promises,” Chouhan said.
He said that by giving the slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ (remove poverty) the Congress insulted the poor people of the country.
The way Gujarat chief minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has presented the development and good governance model the people of the country have accepted him as an alternative for development and good governance, and there is clear wave in favor of Modi in the country, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the country has seen the most corrupt Government after independence at the centre since last ten years and it is the people of the country who have bear the consequences of this corrupt and inefficient Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. The spiraling prices have made the life of common man miserable, he added.
He said that additional taxes have been levied on the people in the form of corruption and due to that the people of country have decided to dislodge the Congress led UPA government of the centre.
“The BJP workers should make all out efforts to convert these favorable conditions into votes and should reach each and every voter of their respective areas,” he added.
The chief minister said that to meet the people we would have to make continuous efforts, our approach should be down to earth and our priority should be to resolve the problems of the people.
