The preparations for celebrating Diwali are on together with Assembly election campaigning. Even after notification, the Congress and BJP are not finalising their list of candidates. The BJP has declared 147 candidates out of 230, while Congress declared 115 candidates.
Due to the election process, people are less interested in Diwali celebration. The BJP has finalised only two Assembly candidates while the Congress has finalised four Assembly seats.
