Taking initiative for a noble cause by providing education to deprived children, the district police have taken the responsibility of helping 30 students in getting education by providing resources of education.
Targeting 400 students for providing education, the noble cause has been started with 30 students in which the resources would be mobilized. Since the police lack in having abundant resources, with the limited resources maximize utilization of resources would be targeted.
Additional SP zone 4 Mayank Awasthi said that the young constables would be roped in to help the students in the studies. Numerous reasons could be found with the children who left studies and never have experienced what is education. This is a modest initiative which is in the nascent stage and would be modified according to the need in the coming days. The success would require interest and dedicated stake holders which could support in all the possible ways.
Young constables would be encouraged to help the children. The voluntarily financial aid that district police personnel and officials could provide would be used for the education of the children, he added.
Bhopal police would be operating two counseling centers to counsel the children as it has been found in several cases that the children are good at studies but lack of interest restrains them from studies and at the centers they and their parents would be counseled on the importance of education.
District police have taken responsibility of supporting the cause financially and in the later stage for the betterment of the programme help from NGO and other agencies would be sought.
