The police have arrested a man who murdered 13-year-old minor girl at Khedavada village of Bhatpachalana, said Superintendent of Police Satyendra Kumar Shukla during a press conference.
He said that, after finding minor girl alone in the house, the accused tried to rape but when he failed he strangulated her to death.
According to the SP, the accused was acquainted with the minor girl and used to come to her house. On the day of the incident, after finding the minor teenager alone in the house, he tried to force her by entering the house, but when the teenager resisted, he strangled her to death with a cloth and hiding the body in the middle of soybean sacks.
He had fled from the spot by covering it. On the basis of the CCTV footage around the spot, the police identified the accused and took him into custody and after interrogating, he confessed to killing the minor.
It is noteworthy that on Saturday evening in village Khedawada of Bhatpachalana police station area of the district, the body of a minor girl was found in her house in a semi-naked condition.
As soon as the body was recovered, it was clear that the girl had been raped and murdered.
On Saturday morning, the maternal grandfather-mother of the minor resident of Khedawad lodged a missing complaint after girl was not found on their return.
According to SP Satendra Kumar Shukla, this sensational case of murder of a minor teenager will be heard in the fast track court so that the accused can be punished as soon as possible.
