Three places were on Sunday raided by Bajaria police in connection with rape and abduction case involving Congress MlA Hemant Katare. Katare’s brother was questioned while mobile phone of absconding accused Vikramjeet’s wife was seized by SIT.
Two places in Bhind and in his native village Manepura in Ater, constituency of Katare were raided in search of Hemant Katare.
The SIT raided Vikramjeet’s house who is absconding for past several days and seized mobile phone of his wife on which Vikramjeet was in contact constantly.
Head of SIT, SP Bhopal (South) Rahul lodha said that police have received statements of girl provided in the court. He said that after receiving concrete evidence Katare would be arrested.
After the complainant journalism student was granted bail and released, the police were set to arrest Hemant Katare. Notably, the victim girl in blackmailing case of MlA Hemant Katare after getting released on bail in a press conference claimed that she did not blackmail Katare, but she was blackmailed by Katare.
Based on the compliant of the student, a case of abduction and sexual assault was registered against Congress MlA Hemant Katare.
On Sunday, the police recorded statements of Katare’s brother and Katare’s gym partner. Vikramjeet has already appeared in media but police failed to nab him. He had claimed that he would coordinate and support SIT as he is not convinced about police.
