Detaining an RSS office-bearer for posting objectionable content against AIMIM leader cost dear to the police officials, as a case of attempt to murder and trespass was slapped against an Additional SP Rajesh Sharma, SI Anil Ajmeria and over half-a-dozen policemen while a Town Inspector (TI) Ziaul Haq has been removed from Baihar police station of Balaghat district and further, inquiry is on into the case.

The administrative action came after a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader was allegedly beaten up by policemen in Baihar sub-division of Balaghat district.  The RSS leader Suresh Yadav was allegedly beaten up by the police personnel.

The police action came after a complaint made by some local residents about 'objectionable' comments made by Yadav against AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi on social media. The complaint was made to the town inspector (TI) of the Baihar police station Ziaul Haq.

Subsequently, Additional SP Rajesh Sharma, TI Ziaul Haq, Sub-inspector Anil Ajmeria, ASI Suresh Vijywar, constable Uikey and half-a-dozen other policemen reached the RSS office.

"Suresh Yadav was taken to police station and upon brining him to police station he was roughed up on way. Yadav tried to save himself and ran into a medical shop but was chased and again beaten, taken to police station and thrashed again", allege RSS workers.

Yadav is district pracharak of RSS. As RSS workers came to know about the incident, they informed the organissation leaders. A bandh call was given in Baihar on Monday. Several protests were held, demanding action against the police officials.

Subsequently, a case of attempt to murder was registered against Additional SP Rajesh Sharma, SI Anil Ajmeria and over half-a-dozen policemen. TI Ziaul Haq has been removed from Baihar police station. Further, inquiry is on into the case.

SP Asit Yadav has also reached Baihar in view of the incident. The RSS workers have been demanding arrest of all the police officials named in the FIR. However, the local officials said that the situation is now under control.
