Nazeerabad police have arrested a 22-year-old man of allegedly harassing his 21-year-old wife for dowry.
It must be noted here that his wife had committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Surana village on August 20.
Police said that the Vrinda Bai was harassed by the accused husband Imrat Singh for dowry.
Frustrated over the atrocities, the victim who faced abuse and physical assault committed suicide on August 20 after which a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered but during the investigation, it was found that the deceased was harassed for dowry and later the police registered a case under section 498 A and 304 B of the IPC on Tuesday and arrested the accused.
The role of family members in this case would also be investigated but initial investigation raises the finger at husband of the accused alone.
Meanwhile, in another case of dowry death, Misrod police have booked a 24-year-old man along with his father, brother and sister for harassing his 21-year-old wife who set herself ablaze on Tuesday at Bangrasia.
Police said that the deceased Rachna Sahu set herself ablaze and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was died.
The deceased got married to Naresh Sahu in the year 2015. Other family members had gone for work at that time .
