A new software, 'mppcomp,' for monitoring complaints lodged at different places by the complainants was inaugurated by Director General of Police Nanden Dube on Monday.
The common platform for monitoring and solving complaints has been launched by the complaint branch at state police headquarters.Senior police officers and officers and employees of the complaint branch were present on the occasion. The tracking system would prove beneficial as the action taken on a complaint and the current status of the complaint would be checked. Providing the details, senior officers said that after the implementation of the software the procedure of solving the complaints would be strengthened and along with the complaint branch the software would be useful for other branches of the department.
It is an advanced system of tracking online complaints and status of the complaints. Project leader Rahul Chourasia and team leader Ritesh presented the details of the software and gave live demo on the file tracking system.
In the initial phase complaints would be updated with the software and as soon as it is entered it will be assigned to the senior police officer and a time line of 15 days would be provided to take action in the case. After 15 days in case of inaction the complaint will move to the next level officer and 15 days of time would be provided.
The last level would be of DGP and after DGP the complaint would be forwarded to CM house. It is witnessed that frustrated with the delays in the system people complain with the higher authorities but ultimately the complaint lands in the complaint branch and again the whole process starts from the scratch.
