A 32-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances near at railway track at Kasturba Nagar under Govindpura police station area on Friday.
After the receipt of the information of dead woman a police team rushed to the spot and started investigation.
In the initial investigation the deceased was identified as Yasoda Bai and used to live in the nearby area where she was found dead.
CSP Govindpura Narendra Rathore said that the deceased died around 24 hours ago and her body was found at place which is not easily reachable. The deceased was a rag picker while her daughter used to live at shelter home.
The head injury is suspicious and the reason of death would be investigated, he added. Police have found injuries in her head which suggest that she might have been hit by stone which caused her death. It is suspected that she was killed by her brothers with whom she was having dispute for the past few days.
The family members of the deceased would be questioned in the investigation.
At around 8 am information of a woman in the age group of 30-35 years was found in an injured stated near railway track at Kasturba and on the receipt of the information police team reached the spot and started investigation. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The post mortem report has been awaited and after receiving post mortem report details regarding the death could be revealed. A case under section 302 of the IPC would be registered in the further investigation after receiving the post mortem report.
