A police constable posted with Kolar police station has been booked for sexually assaulting and exploiting a 25-year-old woman for the past six years and his brother has been booked for assaulting the woman.
The victim lodged a complaint at the Hanumanganj police station a few years ago and during which she met the accused policeman Manish Yadav who was posted as constable.
The accused exchanged mobile numbers and started to talk with her, he used to visit the victim's house. During his visits he developed friendship with the woman.
Later he said that he would divorce his wife and marry her as he was frustrated with his wife.
Victim got trapped and developed a relationship with the accused. Later the accused was transferred to Nishatpura and Kolar police station but he continued to sexually exploit the victim in the name of marrying her.
The exploitation continued for over six years and recently when the victim started to pressurise the accused for marriage, he along with his brother Yogesh Yadav assaulted her as she was demanding for marriage.
Dejected victim approached police and lodged a complaint of sexual exploitation and assault against the two accused.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation Hanumanganj police have booked Manish for sexual exploitation while his brother has been booked for assault with the victim girl. Police have started further investigation into the matter. The two accused are yet to be arrested.
