Police clueless in abduction case

Published on:

Twenty four hours after the disappearance of a child from Phool Bag Gurudwara, the police remain clueless about his whereabouts. Although they have registered a case of kidnapping, they are still unable to explain why a ransom demand has not been made as yet.

The child, it may be mentioned, is so tender in years that he might not be knowing the cell number of his father, who works in Delhi.

Gwalior SP Santosh Kumar Singh said the case was sensitive and the police were investigating it from all possible angles. Nearly half a dozen teams were working on various tasks, he said.

The child, Amrit Pal, is hardly 2 1/2 years of age. He had come to Gwalior from Delhi with his mother Renuka. His mother had come to attend the Antim Ardas of a relative.
