Misrod police have arrested the husband and wife who committed the theft and recovered Rs 3.25 lakh, woman used to do recce while working at home and stole money with the help of her husband.
On July 1 in Vijay Vaswani lodged a complaint with Misrod police that Rs 7.5 lakh cash was stolen from his house in Shalimar Fortliza Hoshangabad road. He said that he stays with his two younger brothers and does marketing work, about Rs 7.5 lakh were kept in the house and later when it was checked the lock was found broken and money was missing from it, through which the woman working in the house was suspected.
After registering the crime of theft during investigation a team checked the cameras installed in the building inside the colony and after observing the technical resources closely, observed the cameras installed outside the flat of the complainant.
The woman working in her house was interrogated who admitted to have committed the crime and brought the stolen money to her husband, out of which some money was spent by the husband in building the house and some money was given to her husband. She revealed that husband spent it on drinking alcohol and kept the remaining Rs 3.30 lakh hidden in the house, which was recovered in the presence of the accused and presented to the district court. Lata Meena and her husband Maharaj Meena were nabbed.
The accused had been doing the work of domestic help at the complainant's house for the last two years and knowing that the complainant had kept the money in the house.
