Jehangirabad police have nabbed a 23-year-old accused who killed a 24-year-old youth at Swarn Jayanti Park on June 27; deceased was killed after he demanded refund of Rs 5000 provided to the accused.
Police said that the accused Naveen Kumar Sharma alias Rahul of Samridhi Colony who hails from Hisar in Haryana killed Monu Yadav after he demanded return of Rs 5000 provided by him earlier.
During the investigation police found that the deceased has shared a photograph of a person with his sister and when the person was traced he was identified as Naveen who escaped to his native town after the murder and when a police team reached the Hisar he left for the city and later he was nabbed on Monday after he returned.
After the accused was nabbed when he was quizzed he confessed that the killing and told the police that the he had borrowed Rs 5000 from the accused but was not able to repay and when the deceased demanded money accused killed him and escaped to Haryana.
He told the police that he came to the city in the year 2015 and used to work with a private company and later in the year 2016 he married a girl who used to work with him. After marriage he faced financial problems as his family was capable to support him financially and to meet his ends he used to borrow from friends and acquaintances.
Notably the deceased Monu Yadav was found dead near Swarn Jayanti Park and after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. later it was found that he was killed by his acquaintance.
