The SIT has demanded records of all such medical college students, who have got admission through PMT scam. The GRMC management may hand over the documents of all the 1,500 students to the SIT.
The SIT would take action after verifying the documents of the remaining students. The SIT is verifying the documents of such students whose names have been indicated by the agents and gang leaders. According to police sources, the SIT has demanded documents from GRMC management of 1,500 students for the period 2004 to 2014. The SIT had given a week’s time to GRMC management to provide documents of all these students.
The investigation conducted so far has revealed that hundreds of students had taken admission in GRMC with help of agents. The names of such students were given by agents and solvers to SIT during interrogating. GRMC Dean Dr JS Patel said that SIT has demanded record of students for period 2004 to 2014. “We have given all the documents to SIT,” he added. The SIT has arrested a member of gang of UP, who appeared as solver for a student of Dabra by taking `50,000. The name of solver is Manoj Singh of Allahabad. Manoj was himself a student of lucknow medical college of 2010 batch. He appeared in 2009 for Sanjay Sisodiya of Dabra in PMT exam in Jabalpur.
Manoj was called as solver by an agent Prabhat Choudhary, who charged `5 lakh from Sanjay Sisodiya. The SIT has now started search of the students, who took admission in medical college through the network of Prabhat and Manoj.
