Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the nation with good governance and egalitarian vision. In line with his vision, representatives of the state government are delivering benefits of 63 types of different schemes like Ayushman Card and Poverty Line Ration at every doorstep in the state. A survey is being conducted again to provide pucca-houses in rural areas. The state government believes in the principle of ‘live and let live’ and is committed to uplifting the poor.
Yadav was addressing a programme held at Gandhi Nagar, Indore on the conclusion of Jan Kalyan Abhiyan. Beneficiaries and citizens of the Indore and Ujjain divisions attended the programme. Notably, to achieve the cent percent target of the identified beneficiary-oriented schemes of the Government of India and the State Government, the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Abhiyan was implemented in the state from 11 December 2024 to 26 January 2025. Under this, beneficiaries have benefited from various government schemes. Chief Minister Yadav greeted the public present in the programme by showering flowers on them.
Yadav stated that the state government is working with the spirit of harmony and equality, as envisioned by the Constitution maker, Baba Saheb Ambedkar. He highlighted that Dr. Ambedkar granted the right to equality, and the state government is moving forward with the ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr. Yadav also pointed out that previous governments had failed to give Ambedkar the respect he truly deserved. In contrast, the current government has developed key locations associated with his life as Panch Teerth, honoring his legacy and contributions to the nation.
Yadav stated that the state government is taking comprehensive steps to improve the lives of citizens including initiatives like providing pucca-houses, gas stoves, and free monthly rations until 2029, along with free books for children’s education. Additionally, grants are being arranged for individuals rearing more than 10 cows to boost milk production.
Yadav reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of poor, farmers, youth, and women. Highlighting the Ladli Behan initiative, he shared that the state government is celebrating Rakshabandhan every month to strengthen support for women. Addressing the issue of drug addiction, the Chief Minister emphasized that it is a root cause of the destruction of society. To combat this, an anti-drug campaign has been launched across the state. The initiative aims to discourage liquor consumption and promote milk production, ensuring the safety, respect, and prosperity of women and improving the quality of family life. The liqor ban campaign has been initiated in religious cities as a first step.
Yadav highlighted that the state government is working in mission mode, in alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to promote social harmony, improve the lives of poor, provide employment for youth, and create positive changes in the lives of citizens.
As part of the Youth Mission, technically skilled youth are being provided employment opportunities based on their qualifications. In addition to a significant number of government jobs, efforts are being made to ensure employment in the private sector through industrialization. The government is also working to foster entrepreneurship among the youth, encouraging them to become job creators rather than job seekers. Yadav further shared that the state government is focusing on comprehensive development by dividing 56 departments into four categories and implementing schemes and programmes in a coordinated manner. These efforts are aimed at empowering women, supporting food providers, assisting farmers, and improving the welfare of the poor.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the state government aims to ensure ‘Work for every hand, water for every field.’
