A play Atha Manava Jagah Ha was staged on Tuesday at Antarang Hall, Bharat Bhawan.Directed by noted playwright Mohammad Nazeer Qureshi, the play was staged by the artists of Karvaan Theatre Group, Bhopal. The play narrates the tale of selfish desires of elite human beings and the dreams of totally different community of people. This play is also about the never ending battle between the human and inhuman acts.
Atha Manava Jagah Ha brings into light three divisions of society. One is signified through a cruel captain who is not interested in anybody's grief and just wants his work to be done at any cost. He does not bother whom he is dealing with, whether it is fellow soldier or a common man, he is cruel to everybody.
The second section of the society is symbolised through a doctor, who is just opposite to the captain and only works in favour of humanity. He is one of those few people because of whom humanity still survives in society. The third section is about the forest dwellers who live a peaceful life away from all the materialistic pleasures of the world.
The story begins with the discovery of the Bermuda Triangle. The captain along with other members is on his way to discover the Bermuda Triangle and on the way their ship gets wrecked. As their ship gets wrecked, there are only five survivors including captain and doctor. They go to an island where people talk in a different language, a language no one can understand easily.
Upon their visit to the island, the captain thought that the only way to survive was to rule these forest dwellers. With his plans in place, he manages to snatch the throne of the king and begins his rule there. After going through much pain and injustice, one of the forest dwellers manages to kill the captain and this is where the play ends.
Meeting with the situation of the contemporary society, the play manages to capture the attention of the audience.
