In the weekly series 'Abhinayan' of dramas, play 'Shikarga Pather' was staged in Bhand Pather style. The play was performed at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum here on Friday.

The play was performed under the direction of Imtiaz Ahmed (Kashmir).

The play begins with the life of the forest, where a woodcutter goes to cut wood. But a ghost living in the forest does not let him cut wood and drives him away. After some time, when a shepherd takes his animals into the forest, he sees a lion running after him to hunt deer.

After the lion is gone, he is grazing his animals, then he finds a person and asks about the lion. But the shepherd understands that it is the hunter who wants to hunt the lion. At the same time the king of the state comes there, the hunter is not able to hunt on seeing the king.

Hence, the king appoints the shepherd to protect the wild animals and the forest, and with this the end of the Natya Shikarga Pather in the Bhand Pather style. In this theatrical performance, the artists inspired the audience to preserve the life of the forest with their artistic acting skills.

The time limit for this presentation was about 45 minutes. The play was much enjoyed by the audience.
