On the third day of National Theatre Festival, play Sambhrant Veshya was broadcasted online, here on Sunday.
Written by Jean-Paul Sotre, it was featured online on Admire Theatre's Facebook page. The story of the play is based on apartheid in 1950's America. In which it was told that how white people are coming to impose their will on poor or black looking people for their selfishness using their status and clout.
The story of the play is as follows, a beautiful prostitute traveling in a train is being harassed by white American boys sitting in the train compartment, when suddenly 2 negroes come there. Due to this, those white boys get angry with those negroes and a scuffle ensues between them, meanwhile a pistol is fired and a negro gets shot with a white boy, in which one goes.
A Negro manages to escape after saving his life. Now to put the whole blame on that black negro, the police of the whole city and the nephew of the leader look for that negro. And the eyewitnesses of that incident want that prostitute to testify that all the fault was of those negroes. But that prostitute refuses to support the wrong.
She is given various kinds of greed but that prostitute tries her best to support humanity. But in the end, that prostitute gets caught in the trap of that big leader's son, signing the papers so that it should be proved that all the fault was of that negro.
