A plantation program was organised by NCC Naval Wing of Rabindranath Tagore University on Friday.
It was held in association with KGN Social Foundation planted around 200 saplings at Swarna Jayanti Park of BHEL. Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi by the NCC Naval Wing, a tree plantation drive from July 1 to August 15 has been targeted to plant maximum number of saplings at different places in the city.
The campaign was started by planting about 200 saplings by the cadets in association with KGN Social Foundation at BHEL's Swarna Jayanti Park. Under this campaign, by forming different teams of cadets, the plants planted will also be monitored from time to time.
Along with the cadets, NCC officer Sub Lieutenant Manoj Singh Manral, Instructor Durga Verma, KGN Social Foundation President Munavvar Khan, Vice President Gaurav Bawankule and other members took part enthusiastically and KGN Social Foundation also presented certificates to the university. did.
In the University campus like- Mango, berries, gullers, finds, tibubias, sabans and aimed at promoting biodiversity conservation.
Insects, butterflies and birds from planting these species of trees will get food and accommodation.
