The Congress accused Choudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi of betrayal and said people of Madhya Pradesh will soon teach him a proper and befitting lesson.
leader of Opposition in Assembly Ajay Singh compared him with Brutus (a character in Roman history often associated with betrayal). Ajay said Chaturvedi had not even once spoken to about the issues which he was going to raise in the House in relation to the no confidence motion.
“I was not aware that my own party leader will stab me in the back with a knife,” he told reporters after the Assembly was adjourned sine die.” Ajay alleged BJP conspired with Chaturvedi to disrupt the House since the ruling party had no convincing answers to the charges listed by him in the motion against Chief Minister and his family members.
Chaturvedi must have entered into a big deal with the BJP, but the people of Bhind (his Assembly constituency) and Madhya Pradesh will soon teach him a “proper and befitting lesson,” the Congress leader maintained. Ajay said the State unit of party will pass a resolution expelling Chaturvedi from the Congress.
The leader of Opposition said his party will organise Assembly Sessions in every revenue division of the State to inform the people about the BJP Government’s misdeeds. To a question, Ajay said he was not aware about the controversial tweet on a social networking site attributed to Digvijay Singh.
