Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed officials concerned to organise dignified and creative programmes on Madhya Pradesh's Foundation Day.
Main function of Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day will be held at lal Parade Ground, Bhopal.
On the same day a foundation stone will be laid for annexe of Mantralaya building. The Chief Minister reviewed preparations for the functions here on Monday.
Programmes will also be held at district and development block levels from November 1 to 7.
The Chief Minister directed that programmes on Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Abhiyan and other creative themes should be held during this period.
About 350 local artistes will present dance-drama Meghdootam at lal Parade Ground where noted music directors Vishal-Shekar will also perform. The function will feature Meghdootam of Kavi Kalidas.
At the foundation day function, people will be administered oath to be committed towards State's development and prosperity. Besides, prominent government buildings will be illuminated on the night of November 1.
Principal Secretary to CM Iqbal Singh Bais, Principal Secretary GAD K Suresh, Principal Secretary Culture Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Urban Administration and Development SN Mishra and Principal Secretary to CM SK Mishra attended the meeting.
