Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Ramlal has claimed that a massive wave is sweeping the country in support of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Addressing a meeting of senior party leaders here, Ramlal said, “No one wants to vote for the Congress. The people want to see Modi as the Prime Minister.” About the party’s target of winning all the 29 lok Sabha seats in the State under the ‘Mission 29’ plan, he said that it was the responsibility of the party organisation to mobilise all its might to ensure victory in all the constituencies.

Ramlal said the BJP would put to its electoral advantage the Congress’ 10 years of misrule at the Centre and the good governance provided by his party in the State. The people are fed up with the Congress-led UPA regime and have decided to dethrone the alliance this time. “People have tested the working of the saffron party in BJP-ruled States and come to know that this is the only nationalist party in the country,” he claimed. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the loss of crops in the  hailstorm and excessive rains was huge but the Centre was adopting an insensitive attitude. The State Government would provide relief to the farmers from its own resources.

He said the State Government had earlier decided to provide Rs 2,000 cr. It would now be enhanced to Rs  2,600 cr. State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar said that after forming a BJP Government for the third term in the State, the party workers were committed to making Mission 29 a grand success. He asked the gathering of party workers and leaders, “You should remain alert about what people expect from you and up to what extent you fulfilled their expectations.”
