An innovative educational institute of the city, Parvarish The Museum School, has been selected among 100 ‘inspiring innovations in K12 education in the world’.
The school has been selected by HundrED Schools are a global network of forerunner educators. The final results were declared in Helsinki on Wednesday. led by Finland with the best education system in the world, HundrED has selected 100 inspiring innovations all over the globe, that are changing the face of K12 education in the world today. The first HundrED Schools were announced in Helsinki, Finland on Wednesday.
Among the 100 inspiring innovations in education, The Parvarish Museum School of Bhopal is also selected. Expressing the contentment over it, Founder of Parvarish The Museum School Shibani Ghosh said, “It is really an immense pleasure for the Parvarsih family that we are selected among the 100 inspiring and innovative schools.”
She elaborated further and said, “We brought in children who never went to school or dropped out of school. We didn’t tell them we were taking them to study we told them we were just going to a museum. We were astonished to see how they reacted. All the questions they brought up were the first steps to their education and they didn't even know they were being educated.”
It is to be noted that over 1000 innovations were researched and interviewed by expert researchers and then analysed further by academic advisory panel. The range of the innovations chose span 41 countries.
The innovations were identified through research, events and recommendations, and all of the projects were evaluated based on their innovativeness, impact and scalability. The researchers considered innovations from every continent as well as covering various themes, from small teacher-led practices to ambitious not-for-profit initiatives, viral edtech products to unique whole school models. The launch event was held in Helsinki on Wednesday, and is followed by a Summit where the innovators present their ideas to each other.
