The ‘Parivartan Sangathan’ here on Saturday said that Raj Bhavan must be chosen as the place for the construction of Smart City and for re-densification, the bungalows of Chief Minister, his Cabinet colleagues and top officers must be considered first.
While talking to the media persons, Spokesperson of the Sangathan Agyani said that this demand is being raised on the eve of environment day in order to protect the environment and ordinary life of the people and it will be highly appreciated if the administration sets an ideological example for the people.
Agyani further said that the Parivartan Sangathan will send a letter regarding their demands to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and other Ministers. Also the Sangathan will start a public opinion campaign in North TT Nagar and South TT Nagar, he added.
He said that after the complete opinion has been collected the Sangathan will organize a public campaign against the plan of Smart City in the area. To save the cities priceless land and greenery the Parivartan Sangathan will take all the possible steps in a democratic manner, he added.
The patron of the Parivartan Sangathan Kailash Aadmi said that the Shangatan also demands from the Minister and local legislator Uma Shankar Gupta and Corporators Saroj Rakesh Jain and Jagdeesh Yadav to surrender their residence for the project as they are the ones keenly interested to bring in this project.
Aadmi alleged that to pacify any opposition in the new construction site for Smart City the New Market area, legislators’ bungalows and Arya Samaj Vyapari Bhavan is being left out of the plan so that businessmen can be protected.
