Parents protested at Tower Chowk after a video of a school in Ujjain went viral, threatening to expel students from class and online groups for non-payment of fees and if the decision is not revoked they would boycott by-election to be held in 28 places.

A video in which the school teacher is threatening to withdraw from the class and online group if the fees are not deposited went viral on Monday. In protest parents demonstrated. Significantly, after the lockdown is over, online classes are being conducted by the school operators through which the parents of the students are being forced to deposit fees and threaten to be removed from the school.  Due to deteriorating economic condition in the Corona era, parents are continuously protesting about no school no fees.  State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been requested by his parents.

The Chief Minister has assured the parents that the school cannot be removed if fees are not paid.  Despite this, on Monday, a video of Kalidas Montessori School teacher has gone viral, in which it is being threatened to drop out of class and online group for not depositing fees.

No clear instructions have not been issued by the Education Department regarding fees. Parents said that if the Madhya Pradesh Government does not take a quick decision in this matter, then the parents of students studying in schools will not vote in the areas where the by-elections are taking place.  Parents say that they will pay their fees only when school starts.
