A Hindi play ‘Papa Mere Papa’ dedicated to the sacrifices of a father was brilliantly staged at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum on Friday. The play was performed under the regular series of drama ‘Abhinayan’.Written by Amul Sagar , the play was directed by Manoj Rawat and performed by Nirmal Society Committee. The story of the drama highlights the circumstances of the middle class family, as well as the ideological insight between middle class and upper class. The story of the play revolves around the poet and his father. The main character of the story is the poet's ambitious girl, who lost her mother and is the only child of her father. Her father fulfills her every desire and sent her to study in city's largest college.
But she never appreciates her father’s love and sacrifices for her. She always insults her father. There is a new twist in the story when Kavya's ambitiousness becomes the cause of problems in her life; some of her college students who have studied with her have committed misdeeds. Nobody supports her, but her father stands by her till the end until the truth is disclosed and she gets justice. With the running time of 1 hour and 10 minutes, the story of drama portrays the situation of the middle class in front of the audience. “Fathers make every effort for the happiness of their children and in return do not ask anything except respect. Every parent wants his child to respect him, but children do not respect their feelings. Through the story of drama, it has been tried to communicate the message of the youth to the society that there can be no bigger and better friend than the parents and those people live with their children in every good and bad time,” adds Manoj.
