Pandit Vijay Chandra is one of the impressive identities among the innumerable genre of classical music lovers. He is admired by listeners throughout the Classical Hindustani Music domain all over. Pt Vijay Chandra’s road to success was not an easy one. He selected an un-conventional instrument-Electronic Synthesizer for his classical passion. Although Electronic Synthesizer is not meant for such classical performance, Pt Vijay Chandra worked very hard to master the equipment.
Vijay Chandra inherited music from his parents and nurtured himself into an able Indian Classical Music Artist after getting his primary training of Classical music under late Ustad Munnoo Khan and advance training under Jindrapal Singh, lt Kamkla Bose. He is carrying regular practice sessions in India and abroad as he is an exceptional first Indian artist who performs Hindustani Classical music on Electronic Synthesizer and that makes him distinct from any other Classical Instrumental Artist.
In addition Pt Vijay Chandra also played in background music of film “Bedardi” at Filmcity Studio, Mumbai. He has given accompaniment with famous Ghazal Singer Ustad Sakhawat Hussain (Rampur), Pandit Hariharan (Mumbai), Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Ustad Mohemmad Hussain (Jaipur).
Vijay Chandra has been selected in paneled artist of ICCR. Oandit Vijay Chandra says, “My goal in life is to spread the sweet fragrance of the art playing synthesizer in India and abroad.”
