Rewa District Panchayat president and former BJP MlA Abhay Mishra who was steering the Panchayat representatives’ agitation and State convener of the three tier Panchayti Raj organisation DP Dhakad while addressing media persons here on Thursday spilled sensation by alleging that their agitation was carried out on behest of minister.
Mishra and Dhakad alleged that Panchayat Minister Gopal Bhargava had told them that their demands would be fulfilled only if they agitate. While talking to The Pioneer the Minister claimed that the allegations of the leaders were baseless.
To media, Mishra said that during the agitation it was felt for the first time that the countdown for the government has started. Madhya Pradesh is under colonial rule. I am contractor, enquiry of the construction works done by me has been initiated and action under section 44 has been started to remove me from the post, he added.
Mishra further said, “Soon we would start agitation in New Delhi. We would make complaint of the State Government with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He said that network of corruption is working in Panchayat and said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has become a limited company and that it has no longer remain party of Pandit Deendayal.
Replying to the allegations leveled by Panchayti Raj leaders, Panchayat Minister Gopal Bhargava said that he has come to know that they have leveled allegations against him. Two days backs after getting expelled from the BJP, they have alleged that chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan are running the party like a private limited company and have become CEO of it. Earlier too, they have said to teach a lesson to chief minister and the BJP.
Bhargava said that meeting of Panchayati Raj Institutions representatives’ were held at residence of BJP state president, state BJP office and chief minister house and discussions were held. After that most of their demands were accepted. Still these two leaders claimed that they would gather lakhs of Panchayat workers to build pressure over the government but when only handful of people reached their agitation they got nervous and out of depression making baseless allegations, he added.
