The Simhastha panchakroshi yatra will be organized from May 1 to 5. In this year’s Panchakroshi yatra, five lakh devotees are expected to participate. Different departments are getting prepared to deal with the expected large crowd.
On Saturday, a team of different departments on seven vehicles inspected the route of panchkroshi yatra. During the inspection, the team also reviewed the arrangements for the five halts and two sub-halts. The CEO of district panchayat, Ruchika Chouhan said that every year during Simhastha 50,000 devotees participate in the yatra, while this year, this is likely to increase by 10 folds.
Keeping in mind the 10 folds additional crowd,
preparation level is also 10 times more than previous years. Other than district panchayat, Health department, Woman and Children Development, Rural Development, PHE, Dairy Federation and administrative officers along with the employees of these departments also reviewed the arrangements. The employees of the agriculture mandi and representatives were also part of the team.
There will be special arrangements in the 120 kilometer long yatra. Official sources said that the arrangements would be for eight days including two days before the yatra and one day after the yatra.
All along the route of the yatra there will be peaceful halt at every three kilometer where devotees can rest. The devotees would be provided with fac\ilities of drinking water, health checkups, tent and arrangements to sit and relax at the peaceful halt. Usually every year these arrangements were available only at the seven halts but this year it will be available at every three kilometer. This can also help control the crowd.
The Chief Medical and Health Officer NK Trivedi said that during the panchkoshi yatra at every halt and sub halt there will be ambulance, treatment and temporary hospital. Other than that more than 100 medical staff and doctors have been allotted duty three months in advance, as per their duty roster, for the yatra.
In the temporary hospitals ointments, bandages, injections, pain killers and life support equipments will be available.
