Pak national Imran Warsi, who has completed ten years of jail term in Bhopal on charges of spying would soon return to his country

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old Imran has his own version of story- he claims that he had came to India to marry his love and later got arrested while procuring a fake passport for her so as to take her back with him after drawing inspiration from a similar attempt from incarcerated underworld don Abu Salem who had obtained a fake passport for his girlfriend and the film actress Monica Bedi in Bhopal.

Imran Qureshi Warsi, a native of Gulshan Iqbal locality of Karachi in Pakistan, was released from Bhopal Central Jail in March this year.

Afterwards, Warsi had been living in a safe house of the Bhopal Police at Shahjehanabad police station. He was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years by a court in Bhopal in 2008. He was charged with being a Pakistani spy, but was jailed under Sections 467, 468 and 120B of IPC and violation of Official Secret Acts (1923). IPC Sections 467 and 468 pertain to forgery and cheating in documents.
