To mark the World Heritage Day, the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya organised painting and speech competitions at its premises on Thursday.
Categorised into two groups for the students of- (i) class 6th- 8th and (ii) class 9th- 12th, the topic of this competition was ‘Our cultural heritage’. Around 50 students from various school of Bhopal participated in the competition. Out of them, Huzefa Zafar, Khushi Bothra and Mohd. Hasan Naseem bagged Ist, IInd and IIIrd prizes respectively, with certificate and cash amount Rs2000, Rs1500, Rs1000 respectively and Nabila Khan was given consolation prize of Rs500 and certificate in category of class 6th- 8th.
In the category of class 9th- 12th, Prasun Jain, Sanjay Parmar, Disha Chaturvedi, with certificate and cash prize of Rs2000, Rs1500, Rs1000 bagged Ist, IInd and IIIrd respectively and P lokpriya was given consolation prize.
In the speech competition on the topic Our Culture, Our Heritage, Abhishek Tiwari, Vinay Kumar and Sumera Yasin stood Ist, IInd and IIIrd with certificate and cash prize of Rs 2000, Rs1500 and Rs1000 respectively.
Narayan Vyas, Archaeologist distributed prize and certificates to the winners in the competition. The programme was coordinated by Art Section of the Manav Sangrahalaya.
