Giving an enchanting and charismatic look to the clay, these potters have presented the best of their creations at Alliance Francaise Art Gallery. The gallery is also adorned with the captivating paintings by two artists.
A painting and pottery exhibition ‘Des Voyageurs – Travellers’ is being organised at AAlliance Francaise de Bhopal. From beautiful ceramic creations to easels painted with vibrant colours all art pieces are put up at the Alliance Francaise de Bhopal Art gallery.
The exhibition features the latest works by travelling artists. Des Voyageurs - Travellers constitutes works of seven potters, Nirmala Sharma, Suchita Rai, Girija Waingankar, Dipankar Deka, Jhumak Das, Sanjay Samant and Jahangir Asgar Jani. Further, two painters Yogendra Tripathi and Deepak Sonar will also display their works at the gallery.
Their passion for travelling takes them to different destinations and difficult terrains and this inspires them to create another unusual art piece.
“Our travelling adds to our experience and maturity to our art pieces,” says one of the ceramist Jhumak Das Manipuri. While talking to The Pioneer, JD talks about his works and experiences.
He says, “I have created a ceramic piece which indicates about the human nature as well as his urge for travelling.”
His works include an enchanting ceramic art piece of a frog, to which he added a pinch of old culture and tradition showcasing an auto.
Each art piece is different from another and tells a different story which gave an opportunity to the art appreciators to have a look at something new and different. The grand imagery of the potters and the painters narrates their travelling stories inspiring the Bhopalites to the fullest.
The exhibition will be on view till April 19.
