Annual 'Pachmarhi Utsav' will be held at famous tourist destination Pachmarhi from November 20 to 22. It would be preceded by a National Flower Exhibition and workshop. The three-day event as well as National Flower Exhibition would be centre of attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. Attractive cultural programmes would also be held during the period. Shops of handicraft and other fashionable materials will also be set up. Through them, local talents will also have opportunity to display their skills.
National Flower Exhibition will be held at Sanjay Gandhi National Institute, Pachmarhi on November 18 and 19. Rare species of rose and other flowers will be displayed there. Four sectors will be formed for the flower exhibition. A two-day workshop will also be held before the festival where farmers will be apprised of latest farming techniques, organic farming, green shade management, polyhouse etc.
Hoshangabad district administration is ensuring preparations for the festival with enthusiasm and dignity in collaboration with officers of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation and local administration. Preparations for the event were reviewed at a meeting recently.
Weather in tourists' favourite destination Pachmarhi called Satpura Queen is very pleasant these days. A number of tourist facilities have been provided there. Tourism police post has also been set up at Pachmarhi.
