Mayor Krishna Gaur gave necessary instructions to the BMC officials to take speedy actions in completing the pending development works here on Friday.
She instructed the officials to finish the ongoing construction work of flyover being carried out at GAD square. She asked them to complete the remaining work till April 2014. She further asked them to shift the slums located near the BSSS College so that the pending work of Habibganj railway over bridge can be carried out with more ease and get completed within the time limit.
Mayor gave the instructions while reviewing the work of BRTS corridors in the presence of BMC Commissioner Vishesh Garhpale. During the meeting, BMC Additional Commissioner and CEO of BSll Chandramoli Shukla and other BMC officials were present. During the meeting, Mayor Krishna Gaur also reviewed the works of Habibganj Railway Over Bridge, shifting of the slums located near BSSS College and Durga Nagar, transferring the Durga Nagar land to railway, construction of service roads, installing the signals at BRTS corridors, completion of the formalities for the construction of Railway Over Bridge, asked the designs of cable stay bridge from boat club to Koh-e-Fiza and she was further informed about other development works being carried out in the city.
During the meeting she was also informed that a new pipeline has already been laid at GAD crossing and the work of interconnecting the pipelines is in progress. Further, signals have been installed from Misrod to Habibganj BRTS Corridors and the remaining corridors would soon be ready with the signals within the time period of two months.
Notably, there are 600 slums located near BSSS College out which 57 were drawing closer to the construction area of the railway over bridge creating obstacles. These slums have been included in the Awas Yojna under JNNURM and would be shifted soon at Jaatkhedi. Mayor asked the officials concerned to inspect the respective area before carrying out the shifting. She further asked the officials to complete the construction work of multi-parking lot at MP Nagar as soon as possible and also finish the remaining work of the parking lot at Ibrahimpura within a month.
