More than half a dozen anti-social elements were arrested after they tried to disturb the communal fabric of the city by damaging posters of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) welcoming upcoming religious congregation of Muslims Alami Tablighi Ijtema.

Tension prevailed in railway station area after anti-social elements tore off the posters of AIMIM. Huge number of people poured in at the station area forcing the police to act swiftly and deploying heavy police force.

City in charge of AIMIM Mufti Amir Jamal said that all the posters were removed from station area without any reason in which Muslim devotees were welcomed in the upcoming Alami Tablighi Ijtema. Naresh and three others were involved in the removal of the posters which frustrated the AIMIM members and lead to verbal spate which was pacified by the intervention of senior police officers and religious leaders of the community.

He said that they would never like to create communal tension and pacified the matter by compromising with the people who were involved in the damaging posters.

Naresh and his associates removed the posters which annoyed the members of AIMIM and they gathered in large number at the Bhopal station area. Sensing that the matter could blow out of proportion heavy police force was deployed.

Few people were detained by the police and later they were released on bail. Among the people who played important role in pacifying the issue were Jafar Qureshi, Juned Ullah Khan, Aniket, Rauf Ahmed Mujdeede, Rizwana Khan, Aqeela Begum and Mubeen.
