Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the aim of our government is to change the lives of the people and develop the state. Vikas Parv is being celebrated in the state, in which large scale development works are being dedicated/bhoomi-pujan is being conducted as well as benefits of various schemes are being provided to the public. My aim is to remove the sorrow of the poor. Today during Jan-Darshan, I came across an elderly Amma whose house got destroyed. I immediately sanctioned Rs 2.5 lakh as a voluntary grant to her for building a house. I vow not to let any of my sisters cry. Chief Minister Chouhan attended the Vikas Parv in Seoni district today. During this, he performed bhoomi-pujan/dedicated development works worth Rs 287 crore 48 lakh 39 thousand.
Chouhan said that works are being conducted for the prosperity of every family in the state. Rs 1000 per month is being given to Ladli Bahnas, which will be increased to Rs 3000 in future. Simultaneously the amount of Rs. 6000 given by the Center every year in the Kisan Samman Nidhi, the poor farmer brothers are being given Rs. 6000 by the state government also. The amount of old age pension has also been increased to Rs 1000 per month. Free ration is being provided to poor families. Arrangements for good treatment have been made in the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Chouhan said that every possible effort is being made for the upliftment of women in the state. Self-help groups are being made self-dependent by connecting women with various businesses in the Livelihood Mission. Our aim is that every sister’s monthly income should be at least Rs 10 thousand , every sister should become a Lakhpati. Toll plazas, generating an annual income up to Rs 2 crore, are being given to women for operation. These women will earn Rs 30,000 on the income of Rs one lakh from these tolls.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that basic facilities have been strengthened in the state. The work of providing water to every farm and tap water to every house is being done on a war scale. Earlier the condition of roads and irrigation in the state was very bad, now there are good quality roads and there has been an unprecedented increase in irrigation capacity. Electricity is also available 24hours. For irrigation, a screw diversion scheme has been made in this area, a project to pave canals has also been approved.
The Chief Minister said that the previous government discontinued many public welfare schemes. We have re-started the supply of laptops to meritorious students, Sambal scheme, crop loan schemes on zero percent interest. Students will be given Rs. 25,000 for laptops, Rs. 2500for cycles. Mama is also getting the fees of higher education paid. The previous government made false promises to the farmers in the name of loan waiver and made them defaulters. Our government has waived off their interest. They stopped the pilgrimage scheme, our government along with rail pilgrimage is now getting the elderly people to go on pilgrimage by airplane. Instead of building a new medical college, the previous government did the work of shifting the approved college to another place, while our government has established numerous new medical colleges, including Seoni Medical College.
Chouhan said that work is being provided to every hand in the state. A large number of recruitment is ongoing for government posts. Simultaneously the government is providing loans to the youth on its guarantee for self-employment in schemes like Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti. The previous government made a false announcement of unemployment allowance, our government has made a learn-earn scheme, in which every educated unemployed will be given training according to their interest and will also get an honorarium of 8 to 10thousand rupees per month.
